Weekend Fun!

I'm back. Didn't want to come back actually. Had a great weekend. I left on Thursday around 1:45. The drive wasn't too bad. Talledega was packed when I passed by. I got there around 10:30 or so. The twins were awake when I got there, full of energy because they were still on Hawaii time. Dad was already asleep when I got there.

On Friday, Mom, Bobby, Masayo, the Twins and I went to the Birmingham Zoo. It was a great day for the zoo. Not too hot. The twins had a blast. And I got some great pics of them and the animals. (I'll post animal pics later.) Something stirred up my allergies and by the time we left the zoo, my eyes were swollen and very itchy. We ate at Cracker Barrel before leaving Bham (there are no Cracker Barrel's in Hawaii). We didn't get back til after 9pm.

Pics from Friday

Saturday, Dad woke me up. I was sleeping on the couch because the twins had Pete's bedroom and Bobby & Masayo were in the other one. The twins woke up early. People started showing up around 11. Dad showed Masayo how to drive the tractor and she took Kaine and Daichi around on it. Colby also rode on it. Later Porter, Kyle, Kale, Dad and I went down the river. When we got back, Bobby, Masayo, the twins and I went to the carousel and to feed the ducks at Highland Park and then to Papaws. Daichi passed out in the car on the way to Papaws. Then on our way home, Kaine fell asleep. They were both exhausted from the day. We got fish from Long's for dinner.
Pics from Saturday

I think Masayo was having more fun than the twins were.

Little Nathan was Adorable!!!!!

Papaw & his sister, Mary Ruth

Proud Great Grandpa!!!

The Martins

Kayaking down the river was excellent! I couldn't have asked for better weather! It was so relaxing and peaceful!! Just what my homesickness needed. (It's returning as I look at these though)

Daichi and Kaine ate most of the bread themselves.
Sunday wasn't a bad drive either. I woke up just in time to say by to Dad. I got ready to leave while everyone was getting ready for church. After church they went to Papaw's and then to the church picnic. Talledega was still going strong. Lucklily, I didn't have to deal with any traffic from it. I got back around 8:30.

I got to work on Monday and found out that Kelly has broken her foot. She was supposed to play softball on Sunday. Pete came over yesterday and said that she "fell up the stairs." I think she's a bit embarrassed by it.

Flat Tires in the Rain....

Yesterday, Wes and I went to Walmart to get me some junk food for my road trip today. It was rather cloudy. When we started to leave, we noticed that we had a flat tire. I think is was caused by us hitting a pothole in the road when we left the apartment complex. We began to change it and the bottom fell out! Wes' back was soaking wet!!! We ended up having to buy a new tire because their was a hole in the sidewall from the pothole. It's okay. We laughed about it afterwards... At least it happened yesterday and not today...

The day has finally come!! I'm going home today!!! YEA!!!! It's about time. I haven't had a day off since my surgery which was right after Christmas!! This is a welcomed break in the routine. I can't wait to see everyone! Becky & Laura will be there, as well as Josh and the twins! And little Nathan!!! Papaw! I'm so homesick!!

More when I get back! If I come back!! Wes may have to come get me (or join me) :)

Bridge Run Photos....

Choose: "Cooper River Bridge Run" (NOT "Kids Run")

Bib Number: 21017

There's about 12-14 pictures with me in them. I'm wearing a purple shirt that says "MOVE" on it. Click on a photo and then click on the thumbnail to see the "Image Magnifier" so you can focus it to see it better. They have it set up this way so people like me can't steal it!!
Cloverfield is now in my DVD player!!

Just thought everyone should know that!!! :)

Stuff...

CLOVERFIELD IS OUT ON TUESDAY!!!!!!!!!!!!

Bobby and Masayo & the twins are coming home next week. I'm (uh uh) sick on Friday. I'm driving down there on Thursday after work. I can't wait!! I'm in desperate need of a vacation!

Okay, I know I'm not the greatest softball player, but it's become increasingly obvious that I have become "that girl." You know, the "older" one who's loyal to the team, is always there and never complains?? (Well, until now.) Since it's a co-ed team and you legally have to have at least 5 girls on the field, they just through one of "us" in the catcher's position. I have been the catcher for every game. All last season and this one. I sit back there and listen to the umpire rant about having to be there on a Sunday and watch as everyone else makes plays and has a good time. I'm tired of it. I am perfectly okay with putting better players in more important positions, but when we are winning by 20 points, it would be nice to be given a chance to do something else. Oh yeah, on a less selfish note, we won both games last week, while playing with only four girls. If we are short one player (at least 5 of each is the minimum), we have to take an "out" every time we bat. So basically we are playing with two outs while the other team plays with three.

Wednesday, Wes and I went back to Barbara Jean's in Mt. Pleasant. I Love Crab Cakes!!! On Thursday we went shoe shopping. (HEHEHE) Wes is a lot pickier than me!! It took him a lot longer than me to pick out his shoes!! (About a dozen pairs and 3 or 4 stores!!) And he says he hates shopping!! I told him I was going to say that!!! :) :) :) :)
We're trying to decide where to fly to for our vacation. (IT'S TWO MONTHS FROM TODAY!!!!) We might fly into another country and take a train into Germany. We're thinking Amsterdam, Zurich or Brussels. It depends on how full the flights are.

PS: LOVE YOU BJ! I'M PRAYING FOR YOU!!

Pope Visit.

Here's a picture from our honeymoon. We were able to go to a Wednesday blessing/mass while we were there. This was a few months after he became the Pope.
