Saturday
We started out at Drayton Hall. Drayton Hall is the only plantation house in its original condition. The house has no electricity or plumbing. It sits right on the Ashley river. Everyone was debating on which side of the house is the front, the river side or the field side. It was pretty warm in there, too, but there was a nice breeze blowing through the windows in some rooms and our guide gave us fans to use. There's no furniture inside either.
Later Wes, Mom, Dad & I drove over to Magnolia Cemetery so they could see the Hunley Graves. We also drove around the old Navy base, so Mom could take some pics of her ol' stomping grounds.
For dinner, we went to Gilligans. Great seafood.
